Job Description:
The District Agriculture Coordinator will play a crucial role in implementing and managing agricultural initiatives under the Agriculture and farm projects at the district level. This position involves working closely with local farmers, agricultural officers, and government bodies to promote sustainable farming practices, environmental conservation, and agricultural productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate agricultural programs and projects within the district under the Agriculture and farm projects.
- Work with Village Agriculture Officers and other local staff to ensure smooth implementation of agricultural activities.
- Conduct surveys, gather data, and analyse the impact of the programs on agricultural productivity and environmental sustainability.
- Provide guidance and support to farmers in adopting modern and eco-friendly farming practices.
- Liaise with government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to secure necessary resources and support for agricultural development.
- Organize training and workshops for farmers on sustainable agriculture, soil health, water conservation, and modern farming techniques.
- Prepare reports on district-level agricultural activities and ensure compliance with project guidelines.
