Job Description:

The Block Agriculture Coordinator will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating agriculture-related activities under the Agriculture and farm projects at the block level. This position will involve working with farmers, village coordinators, and other local stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of sustainable agriculture practices, particularly related to tree planting, soil conservation, and eco-friendly farming techniques. The role will also involve providing technical support, facilitating training programs, and monitoring progress across the block.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate agriculture activities under the Agriculture and farm projects at the block level.
  • Collaborate with local farmers, village coordinators, and agricultural experts to promote sustainable farming and eco-friendly practices.
  • Organize training programs for farmers on modern agriculture techniques, water conservation, and tree plantation initiatives.
  • Ensure the timely execution of agriculture projects and monitor their progress within the block.
  • Conduct surveys and collect data to track the effectiveness of implemented programs.
  • Regularly report on project outcomes and suggest improvements as needed.
  • Act as a liaison between the block and district officers, ensuring smooth communication and coordination.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Fresher’s: Candidates with no prior experience but with relevant academic qualifications are welcome to apply.
    • Experienced Candidates: Prior experience in agriculture coordination, farming practices, or working on environmental projects is an added advantage.

 

Skills Required:

  • Strong understanding of agricultural practices and environmental conservation.
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including farmers, village coordinators, and district officers.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to conduct training and workshops for local communities.
  • Basic knowledge of data collection and reporting techniques.

 

Salary:

  • Fresher: 25,000 - 30,000 per month
  • Experienced Candidates: 30,000 - 40,000 per month, based on qualifications and experience.

Job Location:

  • All States in India (This role will be assigned to a specific block within a state).

Selection Process:

  • Online Examination (The examination will assess your knowledge in agriculture, environmental practices, and general aptitude).
  • Post-exam, shortlisted candidates will go through an interview process.
